Shopping!
Shopping rules! Last friday, i meet my senior, weixiang and we headed down to Far East Plaza to get new bags. Wow, we were like spoiled for choice, there were so many nicely designed bags... Heee... After walking from Far East Plaza to Wisma Atria to Heeren and back to Far East Plaza again, we settled on the same bag. Now the thought of both of us walking together in stride with the same bag like two cutesy little girls is enough to make me shudder. To top that all, i got a tote bag (according to weixiang)... yea... quite unique... Hahas... however, my shopping spree has not ended yet... i still got lots of stuff to get... So yea, shopping is so fun!!!
Saturday. Jon Bro and I thronged the streets of Orchard... We were so excited... i got two very beautiful pants... =) thanks jon bro... Looking ahead... these are my SHOPPING PLANS:
1. Visit all SIngapore's attractions
2. Attend music lessons
3. Shop for more stuff
4. Catch up with new frens
5. Set up new blog

Great. Examinations had drawn to a fulfilling closure, marking the alluring approach of the very much awaited 2 months long holidays!!! Having experienced 2 years in the high school, i have definitely matured and grown. After all, the journey seemed to resemble the turbulences one can experience at sea. I guess all these will be locked in my memories for the years to come. Looking ahead, i really look forward to the holidays. I want to go out!!! Hahas... i have some plans for the vacation liao... hee... For now, we are left with admistrative matters... Officially on 3 Day MC
Last Wednesday marks the official kickoff of my 3 day medical leave. Having been diagnosed with fever, cough, flu and other ailments, i have been generously granted to "rest well" so that i could recuperate from my illness. This comes as welcoming news for me as the break is a timely reward to accelerate my recovery. Furthermore, it prevents my much worrying condition from worsening if i were to proceed on with a 3 Day Sarimbun Camp. Phew! During these days, i enrich myself with sea of knowledge. To keep myself occupied, i read intensively. Of course, i also tried to catch up with the current beats of the world, with the help of the media.
TO THOSE WHO ARE SCEPTICAL ABOUT MY ABSENCE,
HERE IS MY OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO DISPEL YOUR APPREHENSION:
Thank you for all your kind concerns. I have taken medical leave as I require sufficient rest from my worsening fever, which has posed a challenge to me to engage in physically demanding activities. I have heard of displeasure and, possibly an uproar. I would like to assure all of you that I was genuinely sick. Exercising my social responsibility, I felt a serious need to isolate and qurantine myself from others so as to deter a widespread outbreak of fever. I am heartened that all of you took into account my welfare and learning in mind. This highlights your high level of consideration and compassion. However, I was brought to light about certain unpolished, unsubstantiated remarks by certain people. This is an indication to me of your humanity. Last saturday, shopping filled my day. never has patronising orchard been so laidback and refreshing...
Sunday was a rest day. i am charged and prepared for the week...
IDS @ labador park was such an enjoyment! The breeze was marvellous and the green lungs are so welcoming! Yes, as city dwellers, to get so close to nature was a very much rare and treasured opportunity... so yea, excellent!
In the afternoons, i went to minyang's place to trim my hair together with jason and bunch of friends. a rather relax and beautiful afternoon...
I am getting ill... feel sick... take care shaowei! Till then, see you.

Upon hearing this word, my mind swells with temptation. hee... but i guess i am one step closer! Yipee! English common test was 23/30, that is quite reasonably well. As for chinese, i have gained 6 more marks for wrong marking and hence i attained 88!!! A1 again!!! Today a teacher stated clearly the criteria for exemption... she said that in order to qualify, u need the following:

Today witnessed the exciting tongue exchanges as public speaking rules the class-3 english periods today. assembly was an evergreen debate on Singlish. guess it has integrated into our lives... what a lively discussion... the windy/rainy weather fuels tinge of romance in this beautiful school... and ya, went to HCI college canteen to eat... delicious food...

Dramatic waves unfolds my day
Today, I would like to share my enchanting encounters with tinge of emotions.
In school, I was greeted with great piece of news; my History attained an A1, which means I have a very high possibility of getting exempted for Integrated Humanities. Coincidentally, Ms Yap HB promised to check and she adds that I stand a high chance! Yeah!!! As for Literature test, I would consider myself a lucky star. I have managed to breeze through the essay as I have done adequate revision to achieve commendable work. *Clap Clap*
In the afternoons, I went to visit Jason at his house. An exciting and memorable experience awaits me... "I wait in bated breath for every such moment."
However, as dusk fell, memory lapsed. How forgetful I was to leave my wallet in the bus!!! I telephoned SMRT but nothing was found. Dejected, I went to the neighbourhood police post to lodge a report. To my greater surprise, a lady called and said that she found my wallet in the bus... relief swept over me...
As I walked nonchalantly under the serene night of sparkling stars, warmth overwhelmed me.

NDP 2006 : My Global City, My Home
Having witnessed the marvelous display of the country's birthday bash, my mind was floated with a myraid of thoughts. As a Singaporean, my heart soared with pride and joy. I am indeed extremely heartened by the milestone achievements that Singapore had attained regionally and internationally. It's an honour and a proud moment to immerse in the countless outstanding and awe-inspiring achievements that Singapore boost. It asserts me the confidence in my country and my future.
Secondly, i felt HOME. That day at the national stadium when the spectators cheered wholeheartedly and the performances gave off their best to the pulsating music, i felt very blessed. Overwhelmed by the one-big-family feel, once again, i felt delighted to be a Singaporean.
Thirdly, as Singapore strives to become a global city, i felt the country has done significantly visible work to imbue in us the instinctive love for the country.
Singapore, as you scale to new heights, i will always remember that "you will always be a part of me"!

Roller-Coaster Week
A whirlwind of activity greeted me throughout the week. Tuesday... English Term Test. Well, i felt it was rather manageable for me. I did descriptive writing and brochure writing. :) I hope i can achieve an A. For Chinese Test, i felt it was okay okay lor. Most probably an A? Dunno lar. Looking ahead, tests are looming ahead. I shall let you have a glimpse of the horric week. These are the figures:

HCI 2A's Class Politics
heeeee... yap shinn was enraged today. haha, he had actually asked the class to hand in congruency worksheet... But apparently everyone was too slack.. (including the maths rap...u know who)... actually right... he should have reminded us during maths lesson la... this class is known for procrastinating... hmmm... yap hui boon literally "turned red" today. one could practically see smoke emerging from her ears and nostrils.... reason? few brought the geog workbook and the computer malfunctioned once again!!! oh... racial harmony day is approaching... must come and support 2A's Kacang Puteh stall okay? keke. Rachel still fails to control the noisy class... sad... ChiuCC was as usual... working in a pace that as if we have the whole world of time... AND my maths continuous assessment... i need badly 1 mark to A1!!!
P.S: This is the FIRST TIME i am writing in such light hearted tone and peppering my words with bits and bites of SINGLISH. hope you enjoy. :)

Get Well Soon
His head is taunted by searing heat. His body is frozen by fearful chills and numbs. His legs are like jelly, it collapses under his weight. Sounds like a weak person? Yes, he is plagued by illness since Monday. During these times, he often ponders. He thinks deep. He remiscies about his past. 14 years of his life have gone past. He smiles upon every happy incident and frowns when an heart-wretching incident flashes across his mind. He seems to be bed-ridden now. He lies on the sofa or bed all day long and stares dreamily into the sky. Helplessness engulf him. Incessant naggings ring in her ears. Closing his eyes, tears cascade.
He has entered his colorful world. However, when his eyes flutter open again, nightmare awaits him.

Decision
In life, sometimes we choose our own path. Of course, it is always accompanied with consequences. Making a decision is a tricky task. You have to weigh the advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes, other factors like personal feelings may sway your choice. I often wonder whether one should make a decision based on his personal agenda or for the benefit of the general audience, no matter what, whenever a decision is made, you have to believe that it is made after careful consideration. After that, there is no turning back. Everything is fixed. Never regret.

"Challenges"
Hey! It has been a horrible week "fixing" those incorrigible bunch of "2A Idols". Guess what? i have been treated to a series of "delicious" news! First, the class lock was discovered by clever "detectives" of the class!(the code is supposed to be known by me (chairman) and my representative only) Hence, those smart alexs have to pay a HUGE sum to replace it! HAHAS.
Secondly, "IT genius" of our class appparently penetrated into some confidential account. well, i do not wish to elaborate.
Thirdly, shattered pieces of glasses welcomed me when i stepped into the class. "Agile boy" broke a piece of glass, causing more damage to the class.
These incidents left me in deep thoughts. I am not very upbeat with the present situation.

A NEW ME - Confident & Persuasive
Hmmm... i imagine that you guys are choking on your hot chocolate upon chancing this catchy headlines? Heehee. Well, that's the NEW me that you can expect. Currently embarking on this sabbatical "Say It Like It Is", it aims to nurture me into a powerful presenter. Oops, i am PC again. (* In case you do not know, it is political correct answers). Haha. OK, i will heal the advice of you guys and be more relax and informal la. (See, i got Singlish Slang hoh)
Sabbatical week is a week to unwind and learn new skills. BUT the coming LSS Physics examination freaks me out. Oh! However, i will be slack... so those competitors ... rest assured... Yea, today Mr. Joseph Tan amazed me with his attention grabbing speech. He was sp engaging and enthusiastic. Cheers!
Next few days, i will be juggling between English and Chinese. I have to speak fluent and precise English as well as Chinese. Do you think i am fast becoming an outstanding bilingual? Maybe i am a potential candidate for the Bi-cultural programme... Hmmm... *giggles*

Eye Candies
Deafening enthusiastic cheers flooded the entire Hwa Chong Stadium. The atmosphere was filled with excitement. Everywhere was a picture of hassle and bustle. Relationship + Stress = Mixed Feelings
"The condition or fact of being related; connection or association" . Yea, that is the definition of relationship. Simply that. However, in real life, it is never so easy. Relationship seems to be a complex puzzle ; the mystery lies deep and is difficult to solve.
I don't know how to hand human relations ; i am not sure about what is in the human mind. Their thoughts are complicated. Their behaviour is absurd. Their attitude towards you is ever-changing. Can anyone tell me how to manage these stuff?!
Stress. My most dreadful partner. It has been accompanying for the last couple of days. Luckily, it has said bye bye to me. haha. My mind seems to be in a whirl when i am overwhelmed with all the tests. BUT i managed to emerge strong and overcome all the obstacles. That means... I got A1 for most of my subjects la..
Anyway, i am experiencing mixed feelings. Can anyone cheer me up?

Contentment
I have been relatively satisfied with my academic achievements this term. Once again, i have topped the class in Geography (23/25) for the second consecutive time this year. Yeah! Haha, but i have to work harder for the coming tests that are welcoming me. =) Being the lead actor for already 3 dramas, i am totally immersed in acting, i am like... dramatic... heehee. Well, i went to Weiming's house today. I was enjoyable especially the karaoke session. The feeling is very nice. =D

Gomez- an honest mistake or a deliberate attempt to challenge the election system in Singapore? Gomez's actions have been the hot topic these few days Singaporeans have been discussing. PAP, being a party of integrity, labels Gomez as a cheater, a dishonest man who may endanger the singapore government if he is elected and is gained entry into the parliament. On the other hand, Worker's Party, who was nicknamed Wayang party by PAP leaders for putting up "an act" defends itself by saying that Gomez made an honest mistake due to his busy schedule. The party claims that Gomez's attention was diverted. PAP leaders were quick to response and rebut. There were many views, however, one similar statement made by both parties was that Singaporeans are intelligent people who are wise enough to make the correct decisions. Personally, i feel that Gomez should "come clean" and explain his actions. A simple apology was simply not enough to confirm the doubts. It would only raise more suspicion about his leadership. I feel that it is PAP's tactic, a clever one , to reveal the flaws of the opposition. Hence, it will be able to portray itself as a united party and a "branded party", as mentioned by Minister Mentor Lee. What are you opinions about Gomez? What do you think about the coming elections? Elections 2006 - The best of the best
The atmosphere is tense. Everywhere is a picture of competitiveness. Yes! These are signs of the election. PAP and the opposition parties have sent in a team of talented men and women, making the competition even fiercer and intense. It is good news to voters. We are now given more choices, more capable people to serve us!
I believe there are many interesting bits and bites about the election. I will share my insights with you soon. Meanwhile, please tag on my blog and tell me your thoughts.

These days, the media has been promoting the Speak Good Mandarin Campaign. Having grown up in a bi-cultural family, using chinese to communicate and write is no problem to me. I have been picked to participate in the combined show with Nanyang Girls lately. Having immersed in the chinese environment, i noticed that my command of the language has improved by leaps and bounds. It is very heartening to know that my pronounciation has become more accurate and precise; my vocabulary bank has expanded; my ability to use the language without any qualms.
It suddenly dawns on me that the environment we are in affects our command of a certain language. I have been asked by a few people on tips to improve the standard of a language. Here are some which i have figured out:

Balance
These days i have been busy juggling between academic work and my drama performances. It has been very draining for me, especially to find time to revise for my tests and practice for my rehearsals. Fortunately, i have been doing quite well and i am very delighted with my achievements so far.
The character that i am portraying, Tian You in the combined show with Nanyang Girls was a challenging one. It has mutiple thoughts and characters. It had been hard on me to "explore" him. Haha...
Well, this is basically what i have been doing for the week. Ya, i went to have a hairdo. OK, i am well-prepared to face new challenges ahead.
